Swansea University Impact Building, Swansea
1 vision installed Solar PV panels on to the roof od the Impact Building in Swansea university. Solar PV uses a cell technology to convert daylight into electricity.
1 Vision solar worked with CMBE to install a 94.7KWH solar PV array, One vision are pleased to have worked with CMBE on this to complete the building to a higher standard.
Our dedicated team of MCS credited solar installers installed this 94.7KWH system comprised of 263 LG 360w category one solar panels. For the mounting system on the impact building we used Renesol standing seam clamps. These clamps are aligned when the cross beam of the roof is tightened. The clamp is then pressed onto the seam as far as possible, the tightening torque then has to be placed in such a manner that the standing seams are not affected and thermal expansions of the metal are nor impeeded. Below is a refrence image to show a standing seam mounting system.
referencing the above image, the clamp mount clips underneath the ridge of the standing seam roof and is then secured in with a bolt through the frame and then a rail mount is cliiped on meaning the rail can then be mounted on.
