​Monday 27th July saw the start of work on a new £1.6m Fire Station in Aberystwyth for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS). The state of the art development, undertaken by Carmarthenshire developers WRW, isl be located on the same site as the previous fire station on Penparcau Road, Trefechan. As with a lot of council buildings, there is always a huge focus on renewable energy sources.

Amberwell engineering of Pyle, Bridgend were the electrical contractors used by WRW who provided us with the Solar PV installation on the contract.

The photovoltaic system that has been installed is a 5.0Kwp system consisting of 20 Risen SY250P solar PV panels. The installation concluded with the installation of a 5000W Zeversolar grid inverter.
